Original language description
This research focuses on the isolation and structural characterisation of polysaccharides from the Black Pearl mushroom. Crude cold-water and hot-water extracts were enzymatically purified to remove proteins and starch-like polysaccharides. The purified extracts were subsequently separated by anion-exchange chromatography using the NaCl gradient. The resulting fractions were analysed by FTIR spectroscopy, and their monosaccharide composition was determined by GC/FID. For the main fractions obtained from the cold-water extract of the cap, molecular weight was determined using GPC/SEC.
