Original language description

This paper introduces Bioprocess Control Laboratory in the Department of Computing and Control Engineering at Institute of Chemical Technology, Prague. The Bioprocess Control Research Group, which built up this laboratory, is engaged in research of the control of variety of biotechnological processes. In cooperation with the Department of Fermentation Chemistry and Bioengineering (ICT, Prague) it participates in various research programs regularly. At present, it has self-contained laboratory witha bioreactor unit equipped with many standard and experimental sensors, with a Programmable Logic Controller and personal computers for control, visualization and data storage purposes for the disposal. It offers extensive possibilities of utilizatio n of thelaboratory equipment in undergraduate and postgraduate education.
