Original language description
There are estimation relations for xylitol production presented. Experimental data and knowledge obtained in the Bioprocess control laboratory of DCCE ICT Prague are used for on-line estimation of the main variables of the fermentation process - concentration of xylitol, biomass and xylose. Estimation of the values of the specific growth rate and yield parameters are discussed, too. The volume of added base for maintaining pH on prescribed level shows to be important for approximate assesment of the biomass concentration and, therefore, for all predicitve relations.
