Original language description
There is a problem in batch processing to find efficient employment of equipment, which enables increase in production and decrease in total costs. Creating of an abstract model of sequential processing of raw materials, intermediate and final products in production apparatuses is one of possibilities for solving the problem. Statistical analysis of simulation runs enables to find out bottlenecks on production line (e.g. apparatuses with insufficient capacity) and to propose modifications that increaseproduction. The article describes methodology of the design of a multiproduct batch process model created as a simulation project in Witness 2000 program. Model enables to monitor the whole production process at times of important discrete events and create a statistics of production unit employment and consequently to analyse the whole process.
