Original language description
The paper is devoted to construction of wavelet functions using both their analytical description and dilation equations for their iterative definition. In this connection the orthogonality of wavelet functions is studied as well together with their analysis both in time and frequency domains. The main part of the paper is devoted to the processing of signal after its decomposition, thresholding of its components including the threshold level estimation and the following signal reconstruction. The maingoal of this study is in signal de-noising and in rejection of undesirable signal components. Resulting algorithms of wavelet signal de-noising are verified for simulated signals at first and then applied for processing of real signals representing energy consumption. Signal obtained in this way are then used for their autoregressive modelling to enable signal prediction and estimation of reliability limits of predicted signal values.
