Original language description
The multi-purpose experimental equipment aimed for various apects of catalytic polymerization of olefins is presented. The apparatus based on gravimetric method allows to investigate sorption and desorption processes in polymer phase or porous particles.After its completition it will allow to study the growth of a set of polymer particles under well-defined polymerization conditions. Sorption/desorption experiments of olefins in polyolefins under various process conditions common in the industrial polymerization reactors were performed using this experimental equipment. The solubility and diffusion coefficients of olefins in polyolefins were estimated. The knowledge of solubility and transport properties of epcies in polymers is required to be able toseparate chemical and thermodynamic effects on the complex reaction kinetics of polymerization.
