    Double-parameter regression functions Fr˘(dp/D; cV ), Pm(dp/D; cV) and pS(dp/D; cV) were determined for hydrofoil impellers Techmix 335, Lightnin A315 and the impeller off-bottom clearance H2/d = 1. Two possible methods of evaluation of Fr˘ were discussed. Results of suspension experiments indicate the suitability of using impellers Techmix 335 and Lightnin A 315, in comparison with the normalised and still widely used pitch-blade impellers. From the two types of investigated hydrofoil impellers, the use of the impeller Techmix 335 is more suitable for mixing of suspension in view of minimum power consumption. The application of hydrofoil impellers provides considerable possibilities for energy saving for most mixing equipments.
