    The computational fluid dynamics (CFD) has become an important tool in the modeling of chemical engineering units where fluid and heat flow play an integral part. The Navier-Stokes equations solved in the Fluent simulation package were confronted with experimental data as well as the dispersion model, which was solved using the classical analytical methods. In solving the dispersion model, the Laplace transform provides the possibility for complete analytical solution whereas the Fourier solution requires numerical derivation. The system under investigation constitutes a vessel equipped with four impellers on a common shaft and whose concentration profiles were measured at five different positions; at the inlet and outlet, as well as at three probes inserted at equidistant positions along the length of the vessel.

    Metoda CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) se již stala důležitou součástí při modelování chemicko-inženýrských jednotek u nichž hraje důležitou roli tok tepla a tekutiny. Navier-Stokesové rovnici jsou vyřešené programem Fluent a následně konfrontován experimentálními daty a disperzním modelem, jež byl vyřešen klasickými metodami. Laplaceova transformace umožňuje kompletní analytické řešení, kdežto Fourierova metoda vyžaduje analytickou derivaci. Zkoumaný systém byl sestaven z nádoby se čtyřmi míchadly,jejíž koncentrační profily byly naměřeny v pěti různých místech; na vstupu a na výstupu, a také ve třech místech v nádobě.
