    The sorption of ethylene and 1-hexene and their mixture in three poly(ethylene-co-1-hexene) samples is measured gravimetrically at temperatures 70, 90, and 150°C and pressures 0-30 bar. Gravimetric sorption measurements are supplemented with microscopicobservations of swelling of polyethylene particles caused by sorption and the extent of swelling is found to be significant. Experimental data are compared with predictions of PC-SAFT (perturbed chain - -statistical associating fluid theory) equation ofstate.

    Sorpce etylénu a 1-hexenu a jejich směsi ve třech poly(etylén-ko-1-hexen)ových vzorcích je měřena gravimetricky při teplotách 70, 90, a 150°C a tlacích 0-30 bar. Gravimetrická sorpčí měření jsou prováděna pozorováním bobtnání částice polyetylénu způsobené sorpcí pod mikroskopem a je sledována míra tohoto bobtnání. Experimentální data jsou porovnávány s předpovědí PC-SAFT (perturbed chain - -statistical associating fluid theory) stavové rovnice.
