Stoichiometric network analysis and classification of a pH-oscillator
Original language description
Mechanisms of reactions displaying multiple steady states and/or oscillations can be categorized according to characteristic types of positive and negative feedback loops involved. These loops as well as conditions for the associated oscillatory instability are identified by using stoichiometric network analysis. Several types of experiments can be performed to classify reaction mechanisms and the role of species. Subsequently, main features of the mechanism can be deduced. A pH-oscillatory reaction ofhydrogen peroxide with thiosulfate catalyzed by cupric ions (HPTCu) is taken as an example of this kind of analysis.
Czech name
Analýza stechiometrických sítí a klasifikace pH-oscilátorů
Czech description
Složité reakce vykazující vícenásobné ustálené stavy a/nebo oscilace lze klasifikovat podle uspořádání positivních a negativních zpětných vazeb v mechanismu reakce. Tyto zpětné vazby lze identifikovat právě pomocí analýzy stechiometrickýh sítí. Tímto způsobem je analyzována oxidace thiosíranu peroxidem vodíku v průtočném reaktoru (HPTCu reakce).
