Mass transfer characteristics in mechanically agitated aerated vessels have been studied in The Mass Transfer Laboratory at Prague Institute of Chemical Technology for many years. Our research is focused on the formulation of industrial vessels design methodology. In this paper, data measured in a pilot-plant vessel (of inner diameter 0.59 m) are presented and compared with data acquired in laboratory scale.
