The implementation of classical forecasting methods and materials flow management in the supply chain are not successful for the products with the intermittent demand. Typical intermittent demand characteristics are 30 and more percentage of periods without demand and low level nonzero demand with high standard deviation. Authors compare classical methods with their variation of the simulation approach and describe first results of their approach

Aplikace klasických metod řízení hmotných toků selhávají u výrobků se sporadickou poptávkou. Sporadická poptávka je typická více než 30% období s nulovou poptávkou a relativně nízkou úrovní. Autoři srovnávají dostupné katody s vlastním simulačním modelem.
