    This paper focuses on the catalytic reduction of nitrogen oxides on the automotive catalysts, especially on the dynamics of periodically alternating redox conditions and the NOx reduction selectivity towards ammonia. The studied catalyst is of the type PtRh/Ba/CeZrOB4B/?-Al2O3 and CO, C3H6 a H2 were used as the reducing agents. The problem is investigated by the means of mathematical model, which had to be recalibrated first according to the data obtained from the laboratory reactor. Based on the simulation results the concentration profiles of all components were analysed in the spatially distributed system of the catalytic monolith reactor.
