Original language description
The goal of this study is to compare transport of monomer in porous polyolefin particles obtained by two independent procedures. In the first procedure the degassing dynamics of porous polyolefin particles was recorded gravimetrically. In the second procedure spatially 3D porous structure of a statistically relevant number of polyolefin particles was reconstructed by X-ray micro-tomography and the reconstructed particles were subjected to numerical simulations of degassing. Obtained results of both procedures are compared to validate the micro-tomography and models of particle degassing
