Filtering and Smoothing of Experimental Data Obtained during Gravimetric Sorption Experiments
Original language description
This work deals with filtering and smoothing of experimental data obtained during the sorption of organic vapours in flat polymer samples from copolymers of 2,2-is(trifluoromethyl)-4,5-difluoro-1,3-dioxole with tetrafluoroethylene (Teflon AF, Du Pont). The vapour sorption experiments are performed gravimetrically using the sorption apparatus equipped with the calibrated quartz (McBain's) spiral balance. At the beginning of sorption experiment, introducing of determined amount of vapours from vapour reservoir into evacuated measuring chamber leads to undesirable vibrations of the quartz spiral. Therefore, filtering out of such phenomena is necessary for consecutive processing of experimental data for example for evaluation of diffusion coefficients.
