Original language description
Experimental data obtained during gravimetric sorption experiments include noise caused by the fact that at the beginning of sorption experiment introducing of determined amount of vapours from gas reservoir into evacuated measuring chamber leads to spurious oscillations of the spiral balance. Noise causes that optimization methods for integral diffusion coefficient determination do not converge. Complex program in Matlab was developed in order to remove noise from experimental data and to determine value of diffusion coefficient. The main goals of data processing are more accurate determination of diffusion coefficient, quicker computation and facilitation and automation of calculation. Correct operation of algorithm was verified at processing of experimental data obtained during the sorption of organic vapours in flat polymer samples. The vapour sorption experiments are performed gravimetrically by the sorption apparatus equipped with the calibrated quartz (McBain's) spiral balance.
