The following study has been focused on transport characteristics of several types of Sulzer?s structured packing Mellapak. Investigated packings, Mellapak M250Y, M350Y, M452Y and M500Y are of similar geometrical arrangement, but they differ in their geometrical areas. The question behind this study stands, weather the mass-transfer characteristics of the packings in one type line really increase with their increasing geometrical area.
