Impedance-Stabilized Positive and Negative Corona Discharge: I-V Characteristics
Original language description
The I-V characteristics for impedance-stabilized both negative and positive corona are presented. The resistivity values (R = 6 - 10 M?) and the capacity values (C = 0 - 75 pF) were chosen as parameters in the impedance. It was found that in the case ofimpedance-stabilized positive corona there is a transition region in the characteristics caused by the regime change in to periodic transient spark. In this regime, the discharge voltage is inversely proportional to the capacity when the current is keptconstant. In addition the curves of I-V characteristics for given capacity are shifted to lower discharge voltages when the resistivity of resistor used in the impedance is higher.
