Oxygen transfer in Rotating Biological Contactor and its application for textile dye decolorization
Original language description
The oxygen mass transfer rates were determined in studied RBC. It was found out, that the kLa values depend linearly on rotational speed of discs and on the value of the ratio of discs surface to liquid volume. The saturation of the liquid also increaseswith the increasing discs rotational speed but the rise is very small, especially at higher discs speeds. Decolorization experiment confirmed suitability of a combination of the RBC and the fungus Irpex lacteus for decolorization of textile dyes.
