Methodology for the description of the bubble shape on an inclined plane

  • Original language description

The adhesion is the 2nd step of the bubble-particle interaction and follows the collision between the bubble and the particle. Last step (detachment) occurs if the bubble-particle system is unstable. The TPC expansion (one step of adhesion) can be described theoretically by the molecular-kinetic model which describes relation between the TPC velocity and the dynamic contact angle. The adhering bubble is not symmetric and contact angles on the right and left side of the bubble are different. The knowledge of contact angles is very important, for the calculation is necessary to know, how the contact angle changes during the adhesion. The aim is to figure out the methodology for calculations of contact angles using modificated ADSA (axisymmetric drop shape analysis) method. The process of the adhesion was recorded using high-speed digital camera and images were evaluated using the image analysis software NIS-Elements. Calculations were performed using the Matlab software.
