Original language description
Software for dynamic simulations of fresh and aged Lean NOx Trap catalysts used for abatement of nitrogen oxides from automotive exhaust gases of Diesel engines. The model reaction kinetics includes adsorption and partial reduction of NOx under lean condtions and the reduction of stored NOx under rich conditions (excess of CO, H2 and hydrocarbons). The conversions and selectivities to possible by-products (N2O, NH3) and N2 are predicted in dependence on the ageing state of the catalyst and actual operating conditions.
