Original language description
The chapter provides an overview of the functional principles used in process temperature measurement. In the part Contact thermometers are included: filled thermal systems, thermocouples and resistance temperature sensors. There are described methods for signal processing of electrical thermometers, ways of installation of temperature sensors into the thermowell and technological apparatus. Also devices for calibration of contact temperature sensors are described. Next part is devoted to non-contact temperature measurement - are given theoretical foundations of contactless temperature measurement and arrangement IR thermometers and thermal imagers is described in detail. Influences during non-contact temperature measurement are discussed and the methodology of thermographic measurement is described. At the end there are possibilities of applications IR thermometers and thermal cameras for practical measurements.
