Influence of circadian clocks on optimal regime of central C-N metabolism of cyanobacteria
Original language description
This chapter discusses the importance of the circadian clock in almost every aspect of cyanobacterial cell life, introducing a mathematical approach that uses this knowledge for the development of an integrative model of circadian clock controlled central carbon–nitrogen metabolism of the nitrogen fixing cyanobacterium Cyanothece sp. ATCC 51142 as a case study of model parameters adjustment and structural analysis for selected features (e.g. optimal productivity). Future prospects of this approach are set within the context of optimization for high value product accumulation.
