Forms of dance where touch is an integral part of what we do, and an approach we often draw on for information and inspiration, can offer us ways to expand awareness within both our inner and outer worlds. In this workshop, the team explored the ways our own touch, can reveal fresh details about our physical structure – the unique bodies we inhabit; help us experience our environments anew, with fresh appreciation; and stimulate our imagination. Slow sensory investigations led to movement research. The team then explored how material, generated through deeply embodied processes, can be shaped into performance.
