    N,N''-bis(alpha-picolinoyl)hydrazine H2L is a potentially bis-tridentate conjugated ligand in its doubly deprotonated form L2-. The digold(III) complex (mu-L)[AuCl2](2) was obtained from KAuCl4 either by using H2L/NaOH or through a ring-opening/hydrolysis reaction of 3,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (bptz), as similarly observed recently with Cu-II. The crystal structure of (mu-L)[AUCl(2)](2) exhibits bis(N,N'')-coordination; two perpendicular molecular halves with uncoordinated carbonyl functions are present which explains the relatively short Au-Au distance of 3.974.

    N,N''-bis(alpha-picolinoyl)hydrazin H2L je potenciálně bi s-tridentátní konjugovaný ligand v jeho dvojnásobně deprotonované formě L2-. Dvojjaderný Au(III) komplex (mu-L)[AuCl2](2) byl získán z KAuCL4 buď použitím H2L/NaOH nebo přes kruh-rezevírající hydrolytickou reakci z 3,6-bis(2-pyridyl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine (bptz), jak bylo podobně nedávno pozorováno u Cu-II. Krystalová srtuktura (mu-L)[AuCl(2)] (2 ) vykazuje bis(N,N'')-koordinaci; jsou přítomny dvě kolmé poloviny molekuly s nekoordinovaným karbonyly,což vysvětluje relativně krátkou Au-Au vzdálenost 3.974A.
