The effect of acid sites in zeolite Beta for activity and selectivity in acylation of toluene
Original language description
Zeolite Beta of various concentrations and types of acid sites was investigated in toluene acylation with isobutyric acid derivates. Commercial and synthesized samples of Beta zeolites, were characterized by XRD, chemical analysis (CA), SEM, FT-IR, nuclear magnetic resonance and sorption measurements for maximum description of these zeolites and for better explanation of resulting activities of these catalysts in acylation reactions. The highest activities were obtained over zeolites Beta possessing thelowest Si/Al ratio and one of the highest concentrations of Lewis and Broensted acid sites.
Czech name
Efekt kyselých center v zeolitu Beta v použití při acylaci toluenu
Czech description
Zeolit Beta s různou koncentrací a typem kyselých center byl použit pro acylaci toluenu deriváty kyseliny isomáselné. Komerční i syntetizované vzorky zeolitů byly charakterizovány pomocí XRD, chemické analýzy, SEM, FT-IR, sorpčních měření a jaderné magnetické resonance. Nejvyšší aktivitu ve studované reakci vykazoval zeolit Beta s nejnižším poměrem Si/Al a s nejvyšší koncentrací Broenstedovských kyselých center.
