    Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Lasers (VCSELs) have been characterized using Fourier transform emission spectroscopy and compared. Laser sensitive detection - laser absorption together with high resolution Fourier transform infrared technique includinglaser width measurement, infrared photoacoustic detection of neutral molecules will be discussed.
