Original language description
The inhibition of 3' processing and strand transfer reactions of HIV-1 integrase (IN) were studied using 21-mer oligonucleotides containing isopolar, nonisosteric, conformationally flexible and resticted phosphonate internucleotide linkages between the conservative AG. All modified oligonucleotides competitively inhibited both reactions mediated by HIV-1 IN with nanomolar IC 50 .
