A simple brassinolide analogue 2.alfa., 3.alfa.-dihydroxy-17.beta.-(3-methyl-butyryloxy)-7-oxa-B-homo-5.alfa.-androstan-6-one which induces bean second internode splitting.
Original language description
A new synthetic brassinolide analogue, 2.alfa.,3.alfa.-dihydroxy-17.beta.-(3-methylbutyryloxy)-7-oxa-B-homo-5.alfa.-androstan-6-one exhibits typical brassinolide activity characterised by elongation, swelling, twisting and splitting of the bean second internode. The synthesis of bleis new analogue is described as wel as its bioassay.
