Reinstatement of serum pregnanolone isomers and progesterone during alcohol detoxification therapy in premenopausal women
Original language description
Serum allopregnanolone (3[alpha]-hydroxy-5[alpha]-pregnan-20-one; P3[alpha]5[alpha]), pregnanolone (P3[alpha]5[beta]), asopregnanolone (P3[beta]5[alpha]), epipregnanolone (P3[beta]5[beta], progesterone, pregnanolone sulfate (PregS), pregnanolone, and estradiol were measured in 20women during therapy by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry or radioimmunoassay. In conclusion, the reinstatement of progesterone, P3[alpha]5[alpha], and P3[beta]5[beta] serum levels demonstrates the favorable effect of detoxification therapy on both reproductive functions and the psychosomatic stability of premenopausal women treated for alcohol addiction.
Czech name
Návrat k původním hodnotám pregnanolonových isomerů a progesteronu v séru během alkoholové detoxikační léčby u žen před menopausou
Czech description
Allopregnanolone (3alfa-hydroxy-5alfa-pregnan-20-on, P3alfa,5alfa), pregnanolon (P3alfa,5beta), isopregnanolone (P3beta,5alfa), epipregnanolon (P3beta,5beta), progesteron, pregnenolon sulfát (PregS), pregnanolon a estradiol byly meřeny v séru 20 žen během terapie metodami plynové chromatografie-hmotnostní spektrometrie a radioimunoanalýzy. Návrat k původním hladinám progesteronu, P3alfa,5alfa a P3beta,5beta v séru ukázal zásadní efekt alkoholové detoxikační léčby na reprodukční funkce a psychosomatickoustabilitu u žen před menopausou léčených z alkoholové závislosti.
