Inhibition of human telomerase by diphosphates of acyclic nucleoside phosphonates

  • Original language description

Diphosphates of the antiviral acyclic nucleoside phosphonates (ANSp) were evaluated in telomeric repeat amplification protocol (TRAP) for their ability to inhibit the extension of telomeres by human telomerase from human leukemia HL-60 cells. Data show that the most effective compound studied was the guanine derivative PMEGpp.
