    A reactivity screening of vanadium-oxide and -hydroxide cluster cations, VmOn+ and VmOn-1(OH)+ (m = 1 - 4, n = 1 - 10) with methanol reveals that only high-valent vanadium-oxide clusters are reactive with respect to oxidation, whereas low-valent clusterdehydrogenate methanol via elimination of H2.

    Zkoumání reaktivity kationtů oxidu vanadu a hydroxidových klastrů, VmOn+ a VmOn-1(OH)+ (m = 1 - 4, n = 1 - 10) s methanolem ukazuje, že pouze vyšší oxidační stavy oxidů vanadiových klastrů oxidují methanol, zatímco nižší oxidační stavy klastrů dehydrogenují methanol za eliminace H2.
