The Scientific writing workshop for NIVB PhD students was held on 29th June, 2024. The workshop was led by Carlos V. Melo from the Faculty of Natural Sciences at Charles University. The workshop consisted of a theoretical part, a practical part and group work. The PhD students were introduced to the principles of effective science communication. They then worked together on a common topic and experienced how scientists from different research groups with different focuses but a common goal work together. Finally, students prepared their own research outline text, which they were given feedback on.nWorkshop was supported by the National Institute of Virology and Bacteriology (Program EXCELES, ID Project No. LX22NPO5103) funded by the European Union–Next Generation EU.
