Two major lineages of gamma delta T cells develop in the thymus

  • Original language description

Twelve subpopulations of porcine gamma/delta thymocytes were described. The presented data suggest that gamma delta thymocytes can be divided into two major families: (a) one large family of CD4- gamma/delta thymocytes that could be further subdivided according to the CD2/CD8alpha/alpha phenotype and (b) a small family of CD4+ gamma/delta thymocytes bearing CD8alpha/beta and possessing unique features. Family of CD4- gamma/delta thymocytes give rise to all gamma/delta T cells that can be find in the periphery.

V thymu se vyvíjejí dvě hlavní rodiny gama delta T buněk

  • Czech description

Bylo popsáno dvanáct subpopulací gama/delta thymocytů. Na základě získaných dat lze gama/delta thymocyty rozdělit do dvou rodin: (a) první velká rodina jsou CD4- gama/delta thymocyty, které mohou být dále rozděleny na základě jejich CD2/CD8alfa/alfa fenotypu zatímco (b) malá rodina CD4+ gama/delta thymocytů nese na svém povrchu CD8alfa/beta a tyto buňky mají neobvyklé vlastnosti. Rodina CD4- gama/delta thymocytů dává vznik všem gama/delta T buňkám, které lze nalézt v periferních orgánech.
