A eukaryotic-type signalling system of Pseudomonas aeruginosa affects stress resistance, intracellular survival and virulence
Original language description
The genome of opportunistic human pathogen P. aeruginosa comprises at least three genes encoding eukaryotic-type Ser/Thr protein kinases, one of which, ppkA has been implicated in P. aeruginosa virulence. Together with adjacent pppA phosphatase gene, they are parts of type 6 secretion system (T6SS) HSI-1 locus, important for bacterial pathogenesis. In this study, we have attempted to establish the role of Ser/Thr protein kinase PpkA and phosphatase PppA of P. aeruginosa
