New insights into the regulation of the tryptophan operon of Bacillus subtilis
Original language description
TRAP (tryptophan operon RNA-binding attenuation protein) is an extensively studied model transcriptional factor from Bacillus subtilis. In our work we demonstrate a previously unrecognized property of TRAP ? it binds to, and executes its function in complex with RNAP. We will discuss how TRAP is released from its interaction with RNAP and present a model of TRAP in complex with RNAP
