Dendritic high-molecular-weight polymer drug carriers and their conjugates with drugs especially for treatment of solid tumours
Original language description
The present invention relates to water-soluble high-molecular polymeric carriers of medicaments and their conjugates with medicaments, derived from dendrimers based on poly (amidoamine) and 2,2-bis(hydroxymethyl)propionic dendrimer, the amino and hydroxyend groups of which are attached to semitelechelic copolymers of N-(2 hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide (HPMA) through the mediation of biodegradable spacers. The polymer carriers and conjugates of the present invention enable targeted transport notably of anticancer medicaments into solid tumors in which biodegradation, the associated controlled drug release and subsequent elimination of polymer carrier from the organism are provided. The efficiency of the polymer carrier conjugated with a cancerostatic isdirected to targeted therapy of human tumors.
