Bone Structure Changes Induced by Mechanical and Biological Agents
Original language description
Bone remodelling is dynamic process and occurs normally during bone growth and includes the sensing of environmental changes, the formation of new bone and the bone resorption, i.e. the removal of existing old bone. The numerical simulation shows, the concentration of a new bone substantially depends on the history and intensity of loading and/or nutrition and medical treatment. As example the influence of dynamic mechanical loading is shown. The differentiation of density of cancellous bone and corticalis is evident.
