The effect of athermal and isothermal omega phase particles on elasticity of beta-Ti single crystals
Original language description
Elastic constants of single crystals of metastable β-titanium alloys with particles of both athermal and isothermal ω phase were studied by ultrasonic methods in the temperature range of 0C - 180C. It was shown that the presence of these particles leads to stiffening and isotropization of the material and has also a significant impact on the internal friction.
