Projekt Neutronové záchytové terapie (NZT) v České republice byl odstartován klinickými zkouškami v roce 2000. Ze 7 pacientů ve studii 5 bylo podrobeno, po podání chemické sloučeniny BSH, terapeutické léčbě na reaktoru LVR-15. Před a pooperační kriteriavýběru pacientů, postup při léčbě spolu s informovaným souhlasem pacienta je uveden v protokolu NZT. Toxicita a terapeutický účinek spolu s dalšími perspektivami metody jsou diskutovány s přihlédnutím k počtu léčených pacientů a relativně krátké době poterapeutické léčbě.
