Comicellization of chemically identical diblock copolymers with different molecular parameters of the constituent blocks in a selective solvent.
Original language description
Mixtures of two polystyrene-block-poly(methyl methacrylate) (PS-b-PMMA) copolymers were investigated by static and dynamic light scattering methods in selective solvents for PS blocks (65 wt.% p-cymene and 35 wt.% toluene). The molecular weights of the PS and PMMA blocks were, respectively, 29200, 285100 (1) and 9100, 7800 (2). Mixed micelles were formed below the critical weight ratio of copolymer 2, X c c .appreq. 0.95. Particle parameters of mixed micelles can be controlled in a broad region of molecular weights and sizes.
