Solute disposition in the rat lung in vivo and in vitro: Determining regional absorption kinetics in the presence of mucociliary escalator.
Original language description
Absorption of macromolecules from the airways of rat lung was studied in vitro and in vivo. The kinetics of absorption and relative participation of different mechanisms in different lung regions were investigated using fluorescencelabeled synthetic polymers, such as poly[N(2-hydroxyethyl)-D,L.aspartamide]s with different molecular weight, as macromolecular models.
