The effect of POSS is manifested by the smaller fluxes of Ala and Trp through both protonated and deprotonated Chi/DL-POSS films, which could be associated with their higher density compared with Chi/OA-POSS and Chi/TMA-POSS films, having the higher disordered chitosan phase.
