Original language description
Thermal radical copolymerization of styrene and maleimide at 125 °C in diglyme in the presence of 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yloxyl radical was studied. A quasiliving reaction process proceeded yielding copolymers with a low polydispersity. The obtained TEMPO-terminated S-MI copolymers readily initiated polymerization of styrene, giving poly(S-co-MI)-block-poly(S) diblock copolymers. The sythesized copolymers were characterized by elemental analysis, NMR, SEC and DSC.

Czech description
Byla studována teplotní radikální kopolymerizace styrenu a maleimidu při 125 °C v diglymu za přítomnosti 2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin-1-yloxylu. Kvaziživá reakce poskytla kopolymer o nízké polydisperzitě. Získané TEMPO-končené S-MI kopolymery inicializovaly polymerizaci styrenu za vzniku poly(S-co-MI)-blok-(S)diblokových kopolymerů. Syntetizované kopolymery byly charakterizovány elementární analýzou, NMR, SEC a DSC.
