    Hydrolytically and reductively degradable high-molecular-weight poly(ethylene glycol)s

  • Original language description

Reductively degradable multiblock polymers for gene and drug delivery were synthesised by oxidative polycondensation of poly(ethylene glycol)-cysteine derivatives containing ester or urethane bonds. Hydrolysis and reductive degradation of the polymers with glutathione and dithiothreitol were studied. Chemical substitution of the pendant COOH or NH2 groups significantly affected the rate of the polymer degradation. Surface modification of poly(L-lysine)-DNA complexes with the polymers led to the formation of reductively degradable nanoparticles.

Hydrolyticky a redukčně degradovatelné vysokomolekulární poly(ethylenglykoly)

  • Czech description

Redukčně degradovatelné multiblokové polymery pro dopravu genů a léčiv byly připraveny oxidační polykondenzací poly(ethylenglykol)-cysteinových derivátů obsahujících esterové nebo urethanové vazby. Byly studovány hydrolýza i redukční degradace glutathionem a dithiothreitolem těchto polymerů.
