Pinning and bending of domain walls in perovskites(Ferroelectrics Workshop 2014)
Original language description
Předneseno na:Ferroelectrics Workshop 2014;23-26.03.2014;Leysin,Switzerland It is known that domain movements greatly contribute to macroscopic permittivity and piezoelectric coefficients of polydomain ferroelectric samples. In the bulk of the ferroelectric material, the movements of ferroelectric domain walls are influenced by interactions of domain walls with crystal lattice defects. The domain wall?defect interaction results in pinning and bending of domain walls. Since the knowledge about two aforementioned processes is still rather limited, we approached to the theoretical analysis of the system, where a single domain wall interacts with an anisotropic distribution of crystal lattice defects. The analysis has been performed using a general thermodynamic model. The model is based on the Landau-Ginzburg-Devonshire theory. The interaction of the domain walls with the crystal lattice defect has been introduced using an additional term in the free energy of the system. The model has
