Effects of atmospheric plasma jet on bacterial cell membrane integrity
Original language description
Processes and mechanisms involved in membrane damage of bacteria treated by atmospheric plasma jet in liquid were studied from chemical and biological point of view. Giant unilamellar vesicles of DOPC lipid as a cell membrane model were used to investigate potential plasma-induced modifications of phospholipid in a supramolecular structure. GC-MS was used to analyze chemical changes of DOPC and to characterize chemical modifications in lipid membrane composition of E. coli.
