Original language description
The contribution will report on the design of advanced magnetics diagnostics coils based on Thick Printed Copper (TPC) technology for COMPASS-U and DEMO. The aim of the design was to reach high sensor area (up to 0.25 m2) and small dimensions in compare to conventional coils at the same time. Usage of materials as Cu and Al2O3 or spinel (Al2MgO4) ensures high resistance to temperatures and radiation. Low density and high density versions of sensors are available. The design of sensor reaching high suppression factor of field in non-sensing axes will be presented and techniques to reduce side effects of radiation (e.g. RIEMF, TIEMF) will be discussed. Preliminary results of irradiation tests of TPC technology will be part of the contribution.
