    Cytokinin (CKs) content and activities of antioxidant enzymes were examined during plant ontogeny of transgenic Pssu-ipt tobacco. Control non-transgenic (Nicotiana tabacum L. cv. Petit Havana SR1) and transgenic Pssu-ipt tobacco were both grown either asgrafts on SR1 rootstocks or as rooted plants. Both control plant types showed a decline in total content of CKs with proceeding plant senescence, while both transgenic plant types exhibited a significant enhancement of CKs content throughout the ontogeny with maximal values in the later stages of plant development. Significantly higher portion of O-glucosides was found in both transgenic plant types compared to SR1. In transgenic plants, zeatin and zeatin riboside were predominated type of CKs. Generally, Pssu-ipt tobacco exhibited elevated activities of antioxidant enzymes compared with control SR1 tobacco particularly in the later stages of plant development. The enhancement of peroxidase activities was observed in transgenic grafts

    Obsah cytokininů (CK) a aktivita antioxidačních enzymů byly studovány během ontogeneze rostlin transgenního Pssu-ipt tabáku, pěstovaného jako pravokořenné nebo roubované rostliny. Oba kontrolní typy vykazovaly pokles celkového obsahu CK během ontogenezena rozdíl od transgenních rostlin, kde obsah naopak vzrůstal, zejména obsah O-glukosidů. Transgenní tabák vykazoval také zvýšené aktivity antioxidačních enzymů ve srovnání s kontrolou, zvláště ve pozdějších stádiích vývoje. Zvýšené aktivity peroxidas byly zjištěny u transgenních roubů ve všech stádiích vývoje, zatímco u kontrol a kořenících transgenů se aktivity zvyšovaly až v pozdějších stádiích.Elektronmikroskopické snímky prokázaly zvýšený výskyt krystalických struktur v peroxisomech a velmi úzkou interakci mezi jednotlivými organelami v transgenním tabáku na rozdíl od kontrol.
