In vitro susceptibility testing to selected antibiotics in bacteria of the Bacteroides fragilis group

Original language description

Susceptibility of strains of Bacteroides fragilis group (1284 isolates from cancerous and noncancerous patients in 1994-2004) showed an increase in resistance toward some antibiotics (by 9 % toward penicillin and 8 % toward clindamycin) compared with theresistance level of 10 years ago. The increase in resistance was not detected in the case of ampicillin + sulbactam and metronidazole.
